There was no time to rest after the MPA Christmas Party as the following week Out There Events delivered the NHS North West HR Director of the Year Conference & Awards.

 The two day event commenced with the HR Director of the Year Awards Dinner, taking place on Wednesday 8th December.

 The evening was hosted by the Director of NHS Employers, Dean Royles, and saw HR Directors and their deputies' travel from across the North West to the Liverpool Hilton Hotel, where they celebrated all the hard work and achievements that had been made over the previous 12 months.  

 Following the presentation of the Awards, guests were entertained by Take That's fantastic tribute act 'Fake That', who got everyone singing along to the bands best hits!

 The following morning guests reassembled at the Hilton for the subsequent part of the event, a conference that highlighted the opportunities for HR Directors to 'move forward together' and overcome the key issues that would arise for them over the next 12 months.

 The conference hosted various workshops as well as some excellent speakers, including Counter Terrorism Expert, Chris Hunter QGM.
